How often have you wished for a crystal ball to help predict a serious adverse event (SAE), protocol deviation, or clinical care error associated with clinical research? If only we had the ability to identify risks BEFORE they occur so we can build risk mitigation strategies into research and care processes! Prospectively assessing processes for risk is a hallmark of high reliability organizations (HRO) such as nuclear power and aeronautics. The safety of these HROs is linked directly to five principles: pre-occupation with failure; deference to expertise; sensitivity to operations; reluctance to simplify; and resilience. This webinar will discuss how to identify and manage risks before protocol implementation and highlight one research site’s multi-disciplinary process to evaluate high risk studies.
Webinar Objectives:
- Discuss how to identify and manage risks before protocol implementation
- Highlight one research site’s multi-disciplinary process to evaluate high risk studies.
